What the courses focus on:
Based on principles of the Alexander Technique, you’ll be shown ways to improve your awareness of your posture. Using sensory awareness exercises, you’ll improve your ability to accurately gauge your body position and change it for the better.
The course will focus on improving posture in activities such as sitting at a desk, using your phone, standing, and walking.
What you’ll need:
A computer, tablet or smartphone
A working internet/data connection
A bit of space to move around depending on what we’re working on in a particular session
A willingness to think imaginatively and outside of your usual habits!
I ask everyone to practice on their own, but with distance work, it’s especially important to set aside time to practice in-between. Notes will be sent out after each session and with simple activities to practice.
