Alexander for Actors
Actors strive to find their own neutral so that they can achieve more flexibility and range.
The Alexander Technique is a valuable tool to actors who want to learn how to get out of their own way and reach their full potential.
The technique will bring clarity to your senses and help you to free yourself from physical habits that impede you from reaching your full potential. Using the principles of the Alexander Technique, you'll learn to find a more natural, neutral starting place from which to work on text.
We'll look at text work starting with picking up the paper and reading aloud to performing a piece you know well.
Mondays April 7, 14, 21, 28
Maximum 4 students.
Prerequisite: Prior experience with the Alexander Technique - either one prior group class or a minimum of two private lessons.
